Recruiting Coordinator (Contract, Hybrid – Chicago)
We are supporting a leading global executive search and leadership advisory firm in hiring a Recruiting Coordinator to join their Chicago office. This is a contract role with strong potential to convert into a full-time opportunity for the right candidate. The role offers significant exposure to executive-level recruiting and the chance to grow into a junior recruiter position over time.
Position Details
- Title: Recruiting Coordinator
- Type: Contract (40 hours/week, no overtime) with strong potential to go permanent
- Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – ~3 days in office; very flexible schedule)
- Compensation: $31 – $35.50/hr (conversion range if hired: $75K–$90K annually)
- Start Date: Targeting the second week of September
What You'll Do
As a Recruiting Coordinator, you'll play a critical role in supporting a new Executive Recruiter (expected to start in October) and the existing team in Chicago. Responsibilities include:
- Heavy interview scheduling and calendar management across multiple time zones and stakeholders
- Coordinating with recruiters and candidates to ensure seamless communication and interview flow
- Assisting with applicant tracking, candidate trackers, and documentation
- Supporting process improvements and helping develop communication workflows for a new recruiter/RC partnership
- Handling ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks that support the recruiting team's success
Who We're Looking For
This is an excellent role for someone early in their career who wants to break into recruiting. Ideal candidates will bring:
- Education: Bachelor's degree (graduating class of 2025 welcome; prior professional internship experience required)
- Experience: 0–1 year of experience in recruiting coordination, HR, or a corporate setting preferred but not required
