Job Description :

The Talent Coordinator's responsibilities include assisting with recruiting, interview coordination, candidate management, record keeping, onboarding of new employees, and all-around team player for the People Services team at Rogers-O'Brien Construction. This is an in-office role. Candidates must be comfortable with and available for on-site work during regular business hours. Responsibilities:Recruiting & Talent Acquisition

  • Post and maintain job openings across multiple platforms (internal career page, external job boards, and university portals), ensuring postings are up-to-date and accurately reflect job requirements.
  • Source qualified candidates through resume databases, job boards, referrals, and professional networks; proactively build talent pipelines for high-need roles
  • Maintain and update candidate tracking systems and databases, logging key information such as interview dates, hiring manager feedback, and candidate status
  • Schedule and coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers for phone, virtual, and in-person formats.
  • Conduct first-round phone screens to assess candidate qualifications, interest, and alignment with role expectations
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with candidates throughout the entire hiring process, including providing updates, answering questions, and managing expectations
  • Assist with candidate travel arrangements for in-person interviews, including booking flights, etc
  • Track pre-hire requirements and candidate progress to ensure timely completion of background checks, assessments, documentation, and onboarding steps
  • Collaborate and consult with recruiters and hiring managers to ensure alignment on job requirements, candidate feedback, and overall hiring strategy
  • Prepare and send offer letters and onboarding documentation, ensuring accuracy of pay rates, start dates, and required signatures.
  • Assist with coordinating and preparing for twice annual career fairs at various colleges and universities.
  • Attend university and community career fairs as needed, engaging with candidates, collecting resumes, and building relationships with local programs
Onboarding & Orientation
  • Support the new hire onboarding and orientation process for hourly and salaried employees
  • Assist with planning and coordination of company orientation sessions
  • Maintain and update applicant tracking systems (ATS) and UKG
Experience
  • 1 to 3 years of Human Resources Experience or equivalent Human Resources education
  • 2+ years' experience with Microsoft Excel - Intermediate Excel user
