The North Carolina Department of Information Technology (NCDIT) is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Recruiter to support the agency's talent acquisition efforts. This role is responsible for managing the full recruitment lifecycle, consulting with hiring managers, developing recruitment strategies, and ensuring compliance with state policies and procedures. The Recruiter will also support salary administration and participate in recruitment events and special projects. Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop recruitment strategies and craft compelling job postings
  • Source, screen, and present qualified candidates for a variety of IT and leadership roles
  • Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and ensure accurate documentation of hiring decisions
  • Provide training and consultation to managers on recruitment and selection best practices
  • Evaluate salary actions for compliance and coordinate with payroll for timely processing
  • Represent NCDIT at career fairs and recruitment events across the state
  • Support onboarding processes and ensure a smooth transition for new hires

The Division ensures compliance with Federal and State law, and guides agency leadership, management, supervisors, and employees in the areas of: HR policy administration and interpretation, classification and compensation, employee relations / disciplinary procedures, grievance administration, recruitment and selection, pay administration, HRIS administration, performance management, workforce development / talent management, benefits administration, HR records management, internship / apprenticeship programs, HR data analytics, and workforce safety and health programs. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities / Competencies The following Management Preferences are not required, but applicants that possess these skills are preferred:
