Job ID: TAP000129 Position: Recruiter Location: US - MD, Columbia (Partial Telework) Category: Administrative Clearance Requirement: U.S. Citizenship required Education Requirement: Bachelors Degree Experience Requirement: 3+ Years TAP is seeking to hire a Recruiter to join our team! The Recruiter will work directly with TAP leadership to identify, hire, and retain new talent. Additionally, the Recruiter will support marketing, employee engagement, and other administrative functions as required. The successful candidate will be creative, detail-oriented, organized and will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. TAP is a small (~20-person, presently), and growing engineering firm working in the defense and intelligence market. We are looking for someone to join our back-office team that can grow and learn with us. *This position requires someone that lives within ~20 minutes of TAP's headquarters in Columbia, MD and is willing and able to respond (by phone or in-person, if required) to facility alarm events. Alarm events are rare. Partial telework (~20%) is acceptable. Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Recruiting & Marketing
    • Develop & market job requisitions, source & screen candidates, coordinate interviews with hiring managers, write job offers, negotiate candidate offer packages, support onboarding.
    • Develop & execute a corporate branding & marketing strategy (i.e. social media, website, print media, etc.) - this may include attending local industry events to represent TAP that may occur after normal business hours
  • Employee Engagement
    • Act as a point of contact to support/direct TAP employee questions/issues
    • Support the planning and execution of company events (~monthly)
  • General Administrative Support (as required)
Required Qualifications
  • Experience sourcing for technical roles & closing top tier engineering talent
  • Experience with building diverse talent pipelines and connecting with potential candidates proactively
  • Strong recruiting and sourcing fundamentals with demonstrated success driving results and achieving hiring goals
  • Strong business acumen and demonstrated success supporting a range of engineering teams
  • Analytical skills and a process-driven mindset to continuously improve recruiting strategies and sourcing outcomes
  • High collaboration skills, thriving in a team environment
  • Ability to operate and solve complex problems independently
  • Ability to set proper expectations with stakeholders and keep them informed
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience sourcing for cleared positions within the defense and intelligence market (i.e. candidates with a TS/SCI w/ Full Scope Clearance)
  • Experience sourcing for hardware engineering candidates (i.e. Electrical Engineers)
Clearance Requirement: This position requires a willingness and ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance, based on current background investigation (SBI), as well as the favorable completion of full scope polygraph. Clearance and polygraph processing will be completed by the U.S. Government. Factors considered for a U.S. Government Security Clearance include, but are not limited to:
  • U.S. Citizenship
