Job Type Full-time Description S&S Firestone, Inc is looking for a driven, people-focused Recruiter to join us at our Corporate Office in Lexington, KY. In this role, you'll take the lead in hiring for all types of positions across S&S Tire. As the sole recruiter, you'll be the go-to person for our 18 (and growing!) locations throughout the eastern U.S., helping managers find the right talent to grow their teams. - Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, location managers, department directors, and employees to successfully fill positions with top talent.
- Collaborate closely with location managers to understand current and upcoming hiring needs.
- Keep ATS and CRM systems up to date by logging candidate interactions, tracking pipelines, recording interview notes, and updating candidate statuses throughout the hiring process.
- Source candidates through multiple channels and generate a consistent flow of qualified applicants.
- Use social media and company pages to post job openings, build employer brand awareness, and attract quality candidates.
- Conduct initial phone screens and manage the full hiring process, from sourcing through offer acceptance.
- Initiate, track, and audit background checks (criminal, MVR) and ensure proper approvals are documented in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Manage and update job openings within Paylocity's recruiting platform and community board.
- Coordinate candidate drug testing and DOT physicals as required.
- Deliver a positive candidate experience through timely, clear communication, answering questions, and providing details on benefits, compensation, and start dates during offer delivery.
- Occasionally travel to in-state and out-of-state S&S Tire locations as needed.
- Manage job requisitions and electronic onboarding processes via Paylocity.
- Conduct stay interviews at key milestones (three weeks and three months) with newly onboarded employees to support retention.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support recruitment and HR functions.

Requirements Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field preferred. Talent Acquisition certifications from HRCI or SHRM are not required.
- Minimum 1 year of successful full-cycle recruiting in a fast-paced corporate or staffing agency environment.
- Previous professional experience in a similar role, such as a headhunter, technical recruiter, sourcing specialist, recruitment coordinator, talent acquisition or employment specialist.
- Proven experience using internet recruitment tools to direct-source candidates, including platforms such as Indeed, LinkedIn, and various job boards and aggregators.
- Experience using and managing ATS or CRM systems to maintain accurate candidate records and support an effective talent pipeline.

- Must be based in the Lexington, KY area or able to commute daily to our corporate office (this is a fully on-site role; remote work and relocation assistance are not offered).
- Local candidates only.
- Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment with daily and weekly call targets.
- Demonstrated success in high-volume sourcing and candidate evaluation.
- Strong customer service mindset with the ability to quickly build trust and collaborate effectively with location and department managers.
- Adaptable and flexible in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills; able to manage multiple candidate pipelines across different departments.
- Confident communicator across all levels of the organization, from executives and hiring managers to candidates, community partners, and internal teams.
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and independent contributor with a continuous improvement mindset and a competitive edge.
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
