Recreational Therapist - BHU - LifePoint Health : Job Details

The Recreational Therapist Performs structured evaluations and develops a treatment plan in conjunction with primary care counselor using therapeutic, recreational, and leisure activities. Conducts assessment and establishes recreational therapy treatment goals and objectives to meet the individual needs of patients. Pre-certifies patient care. Conducts ongoing reviews to authorize continued care. Conducts ongoing reviews to authorize continued care. Evaluates each patient's progress and the effectiveness of recreational therapy interventions. Formulates a goal-directed plan of care in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary treatment team utilizing assessment date from the Interdisciplinary Assessments. Updates Treatment Plan weekly or more often as needed. Coordinates therapeutic recreation activities for both large and small groups to observe patient response and encourage socialization.
