Description: R.L. Klein & Associates, a healthcare company, is seeking a qualified Recreation Specialist for the Sacramento location. We need 12 months of continuous experience (no career gaps). Candidates must have an active professional license from California State Board Role: Recreation Specialist or Therapist Pay Rate: $70/hr Location: Sacramento, CA Recreation Therapist Correctional Facility Qualifications: - Minimum 12 months of recent experience (within the last 3 years) providing recreation/therapeutic services in a public or private institution (internships not accepted). - Bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation or Recreation with emphasis in Therapeutic Recreation, including supervised fieldwork (NCTRC/CBRPC approved). - Must hold required license/certification in Recreation Therapy. - Proficient in English (spoken & written) for effective communication and documentation. Responsibilities: - Plan, develop, and implement recreation therapy programs for inmates/youth. - Conduct assessments and create individualized treatment plans. - Use sports, arts, music, and group activities to promote social and emotional well-being. - Document progress and report on patient outcomes. - Collaborate with healthcare staff, clinicians, and custody personnel. - Support patients with developmental disabilities, mental health, or addiction issues.
