RECREATION SPECIALIST I (non-driving) - Range 7 / AMEA - Municipality of Anchorage AK : Job Details

Under supervision, the Recreation Specialist I provides leadership and functional supervision to recreation and volunteer participants. Works primarily at the Recreation Center, leading and organizing daily program and facility activities and performs related work as required. Provides excellent customer service in-person, via telephone and e-mail. Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications / Substitutions / Preferences High school diploma, GED, or equivalent and three (3) months experience leading, directing, supervising, coaching, or teaching children and/or adults at a recreation facility, a childcare facility, a childcare program, camps, educational institutions, therapeutic recreational programs, team, organized youth programs, or other similar programs.
