This person oversees the daily operations of the recreation department using proper judgment and discretion to resolve student and staff issues/concerns. The Recreation Coordinator develops and implements a variety of programs to appeal to the student population.liCoordinates recreation activities for evening and weekend programming.liCoordinates staff coverage to ensure student areas are supervised.liCoordinates recreation and leadership activities/programs with Center and local community resources.liDocuments student participation and accountability during recreation activities.liMaintains inventory of equipment and materials and controls the use of those items. Recommends purchase of specific equipment.liResponsible for the overall appearance, condition and organization of the recreation and evening/weekend department facilities.liProvides transportation as required.liProvides high-quality supervision and management for the student population and positively influences student behavior. Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.QualificationsRecreation Coordinator Qualifications & Experience:High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate of Arts Degree or 1-year related experience working with youth required. Must possess a valid in-State Drivers' License and meet Company insurability requirements. CDL preferred.Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching.
