Duties Help What to Expect
- Plans, develops, and implements Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) programs.
- Develops periodic program plans and annual budget requirements with supporting data for inclusion in overall program plans formulated at higher organizational levels.
- Ensures that program emphasis is on those activities most appropriate to the interests and the needs of the population served.
- Projects quarterly expenditures and monitors all recreation center program operations in consonance with funds allocated.
- Publicizes activities and events, educational classes/workshops for adults, fitness, and athletic activities.
- Coordinates use of facilities by individuals and groups requesting a facility for private functions.
- Supervises employees and any volunteers to include: assigning and distributing work, coaching, counseling, tutoring, and mentoring employees; approving and disapproving leave, recommending and completing personnel actions, disciplinary actions, completing performance reviews, signing timecards, and training employees.
- This is a mixed position where the incumbent must be able to lift and carry objects up to 45lbs independently and objects over 45lbs with assistance.

- A minimum of three years work experience in planning, organizing, and administering a recreational program.
- One year supervisory experience preferred.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in the field of recreation preferred.
- Must be familiar with personnel management procedures and policies.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
