The Recreation Aide assists the Recreation Specialist in the day-to-day operation with providing recreation services to support all AAAF recreation service requirements. This includes the operation of company stores, the armed forces network (AFN), a rescue boat recreation program, swimming pool operations, barber and hair stylist services, a base library (with commercial internet access), a base gym, movie theater services, and other recreational facilities to include marketing services. Provides recreation services to authorized customers, including Government personnel, other contractor personnel, and mission support customers and other supporting activities as specified in the Performance Work Statement (PWS).
Responsibilities include the day-to-day operation, execution, and personnel supervision of all Recreational Service facilities and related activities as specified in the Performance Work Statement. Communicate and uphold company standards, lead by example, work as a team, and provide clean, friendly, and well-maintained recreation centers. Supports in planning and executing recreational activities. Maintains the equipment in each facility, tracks and issues CAC equipment to guests, and operates and maintains base movie theater equipment. Answers customer feedback and provides set up and breakdown of Government furnished equipment. Maintains a safe, clean, sanitary, healthy, and presentable atmosphere, free of dust, clutter, and trash in all working facilities and areas. Maintains a comprehensive, flexible, and properly documented training program. Utilizes and safeguards all government and contractor provided property. Executes company time reporting procedures and operates a check-out/check-in system for use of athletic and recreation equipment. Organizes, markets, and facilitates outdoor recreational activities for base personnel. Performs escort duties, if applicable. Performs other duties as assigned in accordance with contractual, functional, and mission requirements.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, certification to drive up to a 10K forklift, willingness to learn to drive manual transmission vehicles, and a valid clearance prior to deployment. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English. Must pass employment and deployment qualification requirements that include psychological, medical, dental, drug testing, and background checks. A minimum of three years' of working in a recreational facility setting with supervisory experience is required.
