Job Description :
Purpose The Central Services Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for the Pamilco County Schools Central Services Operations, providing professional, courteous, and efficient administrative support to staff, students, families and the community. The position also performs a variety of clerical duties to support Central Services staff as needed. Qualifications
  • Must have High School Diploma/GED; College experience preferred
  • Strong Communication Skills

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Greet and assist all visitors in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner, ensuring compliance with district check-in and security procedures.
  • Answer and route incoming phone calls promptly and accurately, taking messages or providing information as needed.
  • Respond to inquiries from staff, parents, students, and the public, or direct them to the appropriate department or individual.
  • Maintain the front office area in a clean, organized, and welcoming condition.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries, including sorting and distributing as required.
  • Provide general clerical support to district departments, including data entry, document preparation, copying, scanning, and filing.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain calendars for district administrators or shared meeting spaces as needed.
  • Maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive documents and information in accordance with FERPA and district policies.
  • Monitor and manage office supplies, requesting restocks or placing orders as needed.
  • Assist with the coordination of meetings, trainings, or events, including preparation of materials and welcoming attendees.
  • Serve as a liaison between visitors and internal departments, ensuring smooth communication and customer service.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of the efficient operation of the Central Services Building.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent Customer Service
  • Working knowledge of office software and office equipment, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Google, school-related software, copy machine, and fax machines
  • Ability to communicate with various groups of individuals
  • Ability to adapt to changing work priorities
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters
  • Proven demonstration of excellent telephone and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to positively represent the district to the public and maintain a positive attitude
