Receptionist (Part-Time) - Hackensack Meridian Health : Job Details

A day in the life of a Receptionist at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:Greets visitors, registers their arrival and provides visitor credentials. Provides directions to destinations and orientation to overall facility and grounds layout. Notifies units of families or significant others who have arrived to pick up discharging patients. Educates patients, families and significant others about the programming and rules for the units to which they will be admitted. Assists with answering overflow calls from Communications. Provides reassurance and support to the patients, families and friends in order to reduce any concerns associated with the patient's stay at Carrier Clinic. Refers them to appropriate treatment team members orthe Nursing Supervisor when appropriate. Provides switchboard coverage during Communications Specialist breaks. Serves as back-up for Timekeeper.
