Generations Wealth Group is seeking a highly organized, self-managed professional Receptionist to join our Ameriprise Financial office in Edina that serves eleven practices. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors in our main lobby, providing exceptional customer service while managing a variety of administrative tasks. This role will also maintain and support within the Ameriprise Financial guidelines.
Responsibilities:
- Open & close lobby suite daily
- Greet clients upon arrival and extend hospitality.
- Makes fresh pots of coffee for clients & staff.
- Mail duties, including:
- Pick up & drop off mail within the building,
- Sort mail & add to mail room bins,
- Maintain & review the Ameriprise Mail Log's updated policies.
- Personally deliver checks to the Advisors within the office
- Mail checks to home office headquarters, if needed
- Work with compliance on any mail issues and/or concerns.
- Manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls to appropriate personnel.
- You're the point of contact in the office if staff is having phone issues or internet issues.
- Manage meeting calendar for the week to determine when clients are coming into the office.
- Maintain office supplies and order more when needed.
- Maintain conference room schedule.
- Work with third party vendors to ensure office equipment is working properly and bills are paid.
- Work with building management for maintenance calls and ordering new badges/keys for staff.
- Delivers all incoming packages at the front desk.
- Manage all new employee hires with access to office, keys, phones, update phone & email list.
- Basic bookkeeping duties, including:
- Scan in all invoices
- Create invoices for Advisors through QuickBooks.
- Manage building rent and Advisors' office rent, etc.
- Works with the supervisor on miscellaneous LLC jobs & projects

Education and/or Experience:
- Two years' related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Continuing education – Lifelong learning is expected.
- Pass a criminal background check conducted through Ameriprise when hired.
Language Skills:
- Able to effectively respond in a friendly helpful manner to managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential and mandatory.
Computer Skills:
- Able to use MS Excel, MS Word, Outlook, Adobe.
- Familiarity with QuickBooks is a plus.

- It is essential that the Receptionist role has a high degree of integrity, honesty, commitment, and trust. The financial health, image and goodwill of the company are highly influenced by the person holding this position.
- A successful Receptionist will have excellent inter and intrapersonal relationship skills, effective communication skills and the willingness to show empathy and understanding for various points of view.
- Able to communicate with clients in a professional, clear, and concise manner is essential.
- The Receptionist must exercise discretion in dealing with the personal information of clients.
- This position requires the ability to manage significant levels of varied stresses, in particular mental stresses, and fatigues. This position operates in a highly regulated and ever-changing environment.
Work Environment:
- This position is in-person in the Centennial Lakes building in Edina.
- Work between 32-40 hours per week, full-time.
- Start between 7:30am-8:30am
- End between 3:30pm-5:00pm
Compensation:
- Salary - $21.60 - $26.44 based on experience
