Receptionist Position
We are looking for a detail-oriented and friendly receptionist to join our team on a contract basis in Berkeley, California. In this role, you will serve as the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations within the office. This position is ideal for someone with excellent communication skills and a strong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome visitors and guide them to the appropriate staff or department.
- Handle incoming calls professionally, transferring them to the correct contacts as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized reception area to create a positive impression for guests.
- Assist with administrative tasks including sorting mail, managing correspondence, and tracking office supplies.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate staff calendars to ensure efficient use of time.
- Organize meetings by reserving conference rooms and preparing necessary equipment.
- Respond to inquiries from residents and provide basic information about affordable housing properties.
- Oversee the distribution of incoming and outgoing mail and packages.
- Offer administrative support to different departments as required.
- Ensure security protocols are followed, including maintaining visitor logs.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in basic office skills, including filing and organization.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Word and other standard office software.
- Demonstrated experience in administrative assistance and receptionist duties.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
