Receptionist - Crossroads Talent Solutions : Job Details

The Switchboard Operator/Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for visitors and partners at the Southern Research Station Headquarters. This role supports public interface, safety, and administrative functions to ensure smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities include staffing the front desk and providing customer service to visitors and hosted employees, delivering accurate information in accordance with federal and agency policies, maintaining security and safety standards for the facility, assisting with file management and office services, and collecting and reporting data accurately.

Qualifications include experience in customer service and public-facing roles, knowledge of safety procedures and federal information policies, proficiency in custom software applications, fluency in English, and familiarity with agency websites and systems.

Training requirements include annual completion of USDA-mandated courses (e.g., Unconscious Bias, Anti-Harassment, Information Security Awareness, Records Management, Section 508).

Security requirements include obtaining LincPass and passing a federal background check, as well as compliance with USDA and Forest Service security protocols.
