Receptionist - Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design : Job Details

Receptionist Location: Lakewood, CO Target Salary: $17-$19 / hour Application Deadline: Open until filled Rocky Mountain College of Art + Design is seeking a friendly and professional Receptionist to join our team Monday-Friday from 9am to 6pm with occasional weekends for events. As the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, and visitors, the Receptionist plays a key role in creating a welcoming and supportive front office environment. This position is responsible for front desk coverage, delivering outstanding customer service, and providing general administrative support to help ensure the front office runs smoothly. Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist students, faculty, staff, and visitors in a professional and courteous manner
• Answer and direct phone calls, emails, and walk-in inquiries to the appropriate departments
• Maintain a clean and organized reception area and ensure proper signage and information materials are available
• Assist with data entry, document filing, and preparation of forms or mailings
• Distribute incoming mail and packages and manage outgoing correspondence
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and comply with FERPA and institutional policies
• Provide general campus information and support event check-ins or campus tours as needed
• Coordinate with facilities or security to report issues or request assistance
• Support additional administrative tasks and projects as assigned
• Some early morning shifts during class start weeks and weekend shifts as needed at events

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Professional demeanor and appearance

• Previous experience in a college or office reception setting
• Familiarity with student information systems or CRM platforms
