Duties and Responsibilities ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Greet prospective students visiting campus and others coming to the Office of Admission reception area. Stay up to date on facts about the college to answer basic questions from campus visitors and provide directions to campus facilities. Assist visitors inquiring about admission process and calendar. (50%)
  • Assist with tasks performed by the Office of Admission's operation staff, including answering inbound phone calls, preparing materials for daily visits and events, and interacting with student volunteer groups. Serve as receptionist for the Sr. Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management and assist with travel booking and calendar maintenance. (20%)
  • Manage the Office of Admission reception area and ensure that marketing materials are well stocked, refreshments are available, and the space is presentable and welcoming to guests. (15%)
  • Assist the work study student manager in training and coordinating student workers. (15%)
  • MARGINAL DUTIES:
  • Perform all other duties as may be required.
  • Education and Experience
    • High School education or equivalent
    • One to three years of customer service experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Must be able to multi-task due to interruptions by campus visitors in the middle of working on other tasks.
    • Provide a welcoming and friendly greeting as one of the first points of contact.
    • Must be able to work some weekends.
