Job Location : Brooklyn,NY, USA
This position is assigned to tenants who reside in the residence. Incumbents are assigned to shifts to ensure the provision of 24-hour-a-day, seven-day-a-week coverage of the front desk. Workers in this job category perform a wide variety of tasks related to safety, security, disseminating information (packages), building monitoring and supporting independence of individuals living in the residence. These tasks focus on assisting and supporting tenants in their environments and also ensuring a safe, appropriate environment.

Committed to active promotion of ICL values and goals. Basic knowledge of homelessness and residential programs. Basic knowledge of community support programs relates to tenants, families, and staff. Basic knowledge of routine clinical procedures and medications. Basic knowledge of techniques for identifying and managing crisis situations and crisis management techniques. Basic organizational skills Basic hospitality skills.
Required Knowledge Skills and AbilitiesAbility to work with all tenants, families, and staff in a caring and respectful manner, and with due understanding of and consideration for cultural differences Serve as a role model for tenants. Ability to read and write at least at the secondary school level and to follow written and oral instructions. Ability to complete written forms and reports in an accurate and timely manner, manually and by computer. Ability to communicate effectively with staff, tenants, families, and the public. Ability to secure and maintain certification for Standard First Aid and CPR.
Qualifications and ExperienceHigh school graduate or GED plus one year of related human services experience. Specialized training or education in human services may be substituted for experience.
