Receiver (Full Time, benefits-eligible position) - Hunger Mountain Cooperative : Job Details

Physically receive vendor deliveries by unloading delivery vehicles as required. - Insure that products received are consistent with HMC quality standards by brief physical inspections of deliveries. - Validate that the products received are what were ordered and in the quantity that was ordered. This will involve counting products, and matching UPC codes. This will require either matching purchasing paperwork to physical counts and/or using electronic systems to aid in these activities. - Promptly notify buyers of out-of-stocks, miss-picks, damaged goods and incorrect or changed UPC. - Identify discrepancies between the vendors cost and HMC purchase price. - Utilize HMC computerized system as required to perform the above duties. - Work diplomatically with store personnel and vendors to assure compliance with HMC receiving procedures. - Maintain the receiving and product staging areas in a neat and safe manner.
