Real Time Systems Engineer II - New York Power Authority : Job Details

Leads research, design, and development activities to improve NYPAs energy services. Designs, constructs, and tests equipment. Ensures that standards of quality, cost, safety, reliability, timeliness, and performance are met throughout all engineering activities. Engineering, design, implementation and day to day operations of supervisory control systems (SCADA/ EMS), networks, communications and machine control systems (PLC/ DCS/ HMI/ RTU) in support of NYPA G&T assets. Responsibilities Provide lead engineer function in support of a wide range of real time control system projects, failure research, engineering studies, and operations and maintenance activities/practices. Perform field visits to complete field inspections, condition assessments, and equipment evaluations and develop technical recommendations with moderate complexity. Implement and execute NERC CIP and cyber securities policies, procedures, and technical solutions.
