Real Property Agent I/ II - Land Use. The current opening is a full-time position with benefits in the Real Property and Right of Way Section of the Land Use Division of the Department of Public Works. This hands-on position primarily works on appraising and acquiring easements for transportation projects following the Uniform Act. Prior experience working for an agency qualified by Caltrans with Level 1 or higher right of way status is desirable. Strong technology skills, interpersonal skills, persistence, and the ability to foster consensus, as well as the ability to explain project impacts to the public in simple terms are necessary to be successful in this position. The ability to become a California Notary Public is desirable. This position requires frequent site visits and meeting with the public at locations throughout the county.
