Accounting/Finance search focused Executive Recruiter

Our client, a stable real estate company, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The position is 4x/week in midtown NYC. Candidates must have real estate experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports including journal entries, accruals, and variance analysis.
• Draft financial statements (balance sheet, income statement, cash flow) and footnotes.
• Conduct bank reconciliations and ensure accurate invoice coding and audit trail compliance.
• Abstract partnership and loan agreements to identify critical accounting and reporting issues.
• Calculate management fees, capital calls, and distributions; assist with investor notices and schedules.
• Coordinate year-end audits and respond to internal/external financial inquiries.
• Support ad hoc projects and collaborate cross-functionally with finance and investment teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 68 years of accounting experience, specifically in real estate asset management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; MRI Real Estate Accounting Software experience is a plus
