Raw Materials Supervisor - Marathon Cheese Corporation : Job Details

We are currently conducting a search for a 1st Shift Raw Materials Supervisor for our Mountain Home location. Raw Material Supervisors are responsible for managing raw material inventory to meet production needs. This position involves supervising and leading three shifts of employees in the raw materials area and collaborating with the warehouse staff. The role reports to the Plant Manager.

• Supervising and leading three shifts of employees in the raw materials area and collaborating with the warehouse team
• Effectively utilizing labor and other resources to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Performing managerial functions such as employee scheduling, performance management, disciplinary actions, performance reviews, work direction, and ensuring safe work practices
• Responsible for documentation and recordkeeping
• Completing and reviewing department paperwork and reports daily
• Conducting inspections of equipment and procedures
• Reviewing SAP and internal reports to identify material needs and expiration risks
• Monitoring cold storage inventories and coordinating transfers with logistics teams
• Ordering and managing raw materials
• Coordinating and managing the use of trim materials
• Coordinating transfers and orders with logistics teams
• Managing sales and purchase of excess trim and specialty cheeses

• An Associate Degree in a related field with 5 years of experience, or a Bachelor Degree with 2 years of experience; experience in food manufacturing is required
• Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
• Effective conflict management and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information tactfully
• Knowledge of SAP and ERP systems
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Must pass a 75 lbs. lift test if not already completed
• Work schedule is Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays
