Rail Operator - Drax : Job Details

So, what will you be doing?     In this role, you will be responsiblefor all aspects of rail operations at the wood pellet facility including butnot limited to the preparation and staging of rail cars and the loading ofaggregate material. You will routinelyoperate mobile loading equipment of pellets for rail transit to the portfacility, as well as the maintenance of equipment and administrative functionsto support rail operations.   As part of your duties, youwill:

• Effectivelycommunicate to all team members and management any equipment deficiencies
• Ability tofollow written and verbal instructions with meticulous attention to detail
• Demonstratedability to effectively anticipate and diagnose problems and perform minormechanical maintenance on rail operations
• Performroutine administrative functions including accurately and efficientlyupdating/maintaining inventory and production reports
• Ability towork flexible hours including unscheduled overtime, weekends and holidays
• Ability toperform repetitive and physically demanding tasks for extended periods(lifting, walking, working at heights, climbing, pushing, twisting,stooping)
• Industrialmobile operation experience/certification as required
• Interface with3rd party rail line operators to ship and receive loaded and empty carsfrom the mainline
• Proficientlyoperate shuttle wagons in safe and competent manner to spot rail cars forloading/unloading
• Ability toload high volumes of 12 cars per shift along with other tasks andresponsibilities to keep up with production
• Able to workin a hot, humid, cold and noisy industrial environment. Able to work atelevated heights.    

Who you are?     

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3-5 years industrial experience
• Ability to adapt to working within a team or lone workingenvironment, with minimal supervision
