SUMMARY:The radiologist assistant is identified as an advanced-level radiologic technologist who works under the supervision of a radiologist to enhance patient care by assisting the radiologist in the diagnostic imaging environment.
The Radiologist Assistant is not a radiologist nor a physician assistant but rather a valuable addition to the radiology team who can enhance quality patient care by performing advanced level radiological services under the supervision of a radiologist.

EDUCATION:RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED), RTC - Radiologic Technologist certification - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.
