Job Title: Radiology Assistant

Location: Geneva Destination Campus
Hours Per Week: Flexible, Per Diem Schedule
Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8 hour shifts
SUMMARY:
Provides assistance to technologists with tasks necessary for the general management and organization of the department, being flexible meeting patient and/or department needs while ensuring all Radiology safety protocols are followed. Performs direct and indirect patient care as determined/delegated by a licensed technologist or nurse and facilitates the safe transport of patients to and from their respective units.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Stocks room appropriately while rotating supplies based on expiration dates, including Emergency response equipment
Ensures that all regulatory logs are completed daily
Uses team effort to accomplish room turnover within acceptable timeframes.
Primarily responsible for cleanliness and safety of environment for staff and patients.
Safely and efficiently transports patients to and from the department in a safe manner, according to hospital standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
One year patient care experience preferred-Basic Computer skills required-Demonstrates excellent customer service and communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
preferred healthcare experience but not necessary

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
H - Heavy Work - Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Requires constant walking, standing or squatting.For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements.
