Radiologic Technologist - University of Mississippi Medical Center : Job Details

To perform radiologic procedures and utilize x-ray equipment to produce images of the body for the diagnosis and treatment of diseases or injuries, while ensuring optimum patient care and safety. Education & Experience. Certifications, Licenses or Registration Required: Medical Radiologic Technologist license from the Mississippi State Department of Health. Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association required post-hire within 90 days. Radiography (R) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required post-hire within six (6) months. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, radiation physics and protection, and the principles of imaging. Skill in the use of imaging equipment. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills. Ability to comply with radiation protection practices. Ability to alleviate patient anxiety.
