Radio News Director - Arkansas State University : Job Details

The Radio News Director is responsible for coordinating the coverage and reporting of major campus and community news stories. This position is governed by Federal Communication Commission (FCC) regulations, state and federal laws, and institution policy. Duties & Responsibilities: Generate creative story ideas and concepts; conduct necessary research and gather data and information for local and regional stories Write and produce live and recorded local and regional news stories and features on diverse topics, for broadcast as well as online platforms Provide leadership and direction for other news staff and student interns in the development of daily news policy and practices for on-air and online dissemination of news.
