Launch innovations in nearly every commercial and defense aircraft platform.Honeywell's ACST team is seeking an R&D Manager for our Golden Valley, MN location. In this role, you will lead a team of scientists and engineers to deliver innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of ACST customers.The successful candidate (you) will:KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partnering with scientists, engineers, and a larger research team to architect, design, build, and test custom subsystems for use in research and commercial environments.
  • Managing a group of scientists and engineers, including writing and delivering performance appraisals.
  • Setting and evaluating goals and ensuring team success in meeting near-term project milestones.
  • Providing expertise to ensure the success of complex engineering projects and programs.
  • Serving as a mentor to more junior engineers.
    • BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science.
  • 5+ years of experience managing and mentoring other engineers.
  • U.S Citizenship to obtain and maintain government security clearance.
    • PREFERRED
  • Master's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • Experience developing project and resource plans.
  • Black Belt, Lean Expert, or PMP certified.
  • Interest in working in a rapid prototyping environment.
  • Experience with mechanical inspection and working with suppliers on complex mechanical procurements and subcontracts.
