Traffic Control & Engineering - Queens Borough Engineer

Traffic Control & Engineering is seeking a qualified candidate for the position of Queens Borough Engineer. The BE will lead and supervise a diverse team responsible for planning, developing, and implementing traffic engineering measures in the Queens Borough Engineering Office and Sign Shop. The role involves overseeing traffic control devices, managing staff, coordinating with various city divisions and external agencies, and ensuring compliance with traffic regulations.

The BE will also manage the borough's traffic sign plant, coordinate capital and street improvement projects, and prepare reports and responses related to traffic studies and inspections. The position requires effective communication with stakeholders, including city officials, community organizations, and the public, and involves court appearances and testimony.
