IntroductionAs a Data Scientist at IBM, you will help transform our clients' data into tangible business value by analyzing information, communicating outcomes and collaborating on product development. Whether it's investigating patient trends or weather patterns, you will work to solve real world problems for the industries transforming how we live.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidates will possess a scientific & technical background that enables them to develop advanced Quantum algorithms and implement them for industry applications.The candidate will have the technical depth and hands-on experience with the current state of the art in Quantum algorithms and will develop a new type of Quantum algorithm to solve specific industry challenges.Also, the candidate should be able to communicate the difficult technical concept to key stakeholders such as scientists, engineering teams, and C-level executives. This requires deep familiarity with classical state-of-the-art approaches to business problems and target use cases.As the ideal candidate, you will have familiarity with different classical approaches for optimization, machine learning, or/ and Chemistry from 5+ years of industry experience. You will also be an advisor to customers and internal teams; helping develop the quantum computing knowledge and skills of solutions architects, as well as the technical field community.Required Technical and Professional Expertise* PhD/Masters in CS-related fields with knowledge in quantum computing* Experience in ML and/or Quantum Chemistry and/or Optimization such that the candidate should be able to write and review lines of an algorithm using a range of programming languages* 5+ years of data engineering and data science experience within specific industries.* Demonstrated publication record* Excellent creativity, facilitation, and communications skills* Detail-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to take a leadership role when necessary.* English: FluentPreferred Technical and Professional Expertise* Familiarity with classical optimization approaches, machine learning, and linear algebra.* Proficient in Qiskit software.
