As a Quantitative Analyst on Vise's Investment team you will contribute to building a world class investment platform. You will contribute to investment strategy design including the support of our quantitative stock selection and asset allocation processes, as well as support client and sales inquiries regarding the Vise investment approach. This role is primarily onsite, working from our SoHo office.
What you will own
- Contribute to investment strategy design
- Research and analysis of factor-based stock selection and other systematic investment approaches
- Write code to test factors and build systematic investment strategies
- Run portfolio optimizations and simulations
- Collect and analyze data via Bloomberg, Barra and other investment platforms
- Support client and sales inquiries
- Analyze portfolios to attribute risk and performance
- Develop content expertise in the Vise investment process
- Create presentations and materials to explain investment process and performance
- Write market commentary and strategy specific updates
- Responsible for investment platform development and maintenance
- Develop and maintain investment research and production platforms including data ingestion, data management, and systematic portfolio construction
- Manage the daily target model portfolio creation process
- Conduct the daily review including the monitoring of all overnight automated jobs, building and reviewing daily reports ensuring the integrity of both the underlying financial data and the resulting target model portfolios
- Support Trading and Performance teams on an as needed basis
What you bring on day one
- 2-5 years of experience supporting research, portfolio management and trading, and/or portfolio attribution/analysis of systematic or factor-based investment processes
- Technical skills
- Ability to manage financial data including Compustat, Worldscope, IBES, and IDC
- Strong coding in Python and SQL
- Proficiency accessing data via cloud-based storage including Snowflake and AWS
- Experience working with financial platforms including Bloomberg, Factset, and Barra
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Passion for investing and the financial markets
- Positive, team-first attitude
- Commitment to doing whatever is required to get the job done
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Undergraduate degree in a quantitative or business related field
- CFA is a plus
Through the internal and market data Vise has collected, we expect the salary range for this position to be $120,000 – 175,000 per year, plus a competitive equity package.
