Quant Developer – Python Research Engineer | NYC OR London

We're supporting a high-frequency trading firm in London in their search for a Quant Developer to support a traditional trading desk. You'll work closely with Quant Researchers, ensuring robust and scalable research tools are in place to support model and strategy development. This role combines hands-on Python development with a strong focus on code quality, framework design, and collaboration across systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Partner directly with quants to iterate on models, tools, and research workflows
• Build and enhance simulation and backtest frameworks
• Enforce coding best practices and ensure stability across multiple interconnected systems
• Monitor and maintain research jobs and pipelines

What They're Looking For:

• Strong Python skills with libraries like Pandas, Numpy, Polars
• Experience working on analytics or research frameworks
• Comfort working in fast-paced, collaborative trading environments
• Bonus: experience with C++, Bash scripting, or exposure to Equities/Equity Derivatives

This is a high-impact role for an engineer who enjoys being embedded with quant teams and wants to contribute directly to trading performance.
