Quality Technician - NY Staffing : Job Details

Location: Ballston Spa, NY Employment Type: Contract Full-Time, 1st Shift (7am3pm or 8am4pm, MondayFriday) Pay Rate: $24.00/hour

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support the testing, inspection, and documentation of solid insulating products. This role is essential in ensuring product integrity and compliance with internal and customer specifications. Ideal candidates will have experience engineering and a passion for materials testing.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform inspection and testing of raw materials, in-process intermediates, finished goods, and developmental materials.
• Conduct physical, chemical, and performance-based testing.
• Document and report test results in accordance with internal procedures and quality standards.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the Quality and Manufacturing Engineering departments.
• Assist with equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Communicate results with production, R&D, and engineering teams.

Required Skills

• Inspection, quality control, and assurance
• Root cause analysis and quality engineering
• Familiarity with quality management systems and testing procedures
• Strong documentation and organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication

Preferred Qualifications

• AS or BS Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology (Chemical, Materials, Mechanical preferred)
• Experience in a quality, manufacturing, or lab environment
• Familiarity with chemical/materials testing and lab procedures
• Proficiency in spreadsheets, document control systems, and quality data systems

Pay and Benefits
