Quality Technician - Electro-mechanical : Job Details

We are seeking a Quality Technician to support and help maintain our ISO 9001-based Quality Management System. This role plays a key part in internal audits, continuous improvement initiatives, and compliance efforts across the organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about quality and process improvement. Key Responsibilities: Support the management and documentation of the company's Quality System.Schedule, coordinate, and participate in internal quality audits.Assist with external audits and related compliance activities.Facilitate or assist with continuous improvement initiatives and team activities.Support quality-related training systems and documentation.Maintain the gage calibration program and ensure tools are tracked and calibrated on time.Assist with quality-related data collection, reporting, and analysis.Provide backup and support for special projects (e.g., Lean initiatives, software systems, CNC programming).Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, including ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.Train others on safety and quality procedures as needed.Work collaboratively with other departments such as Engineering, Manufacturing, and Production Control. Requirements: Education & Experience: Associate degree in a technical field OR at least 2 years of relevant work experience.A combination of education and experience may be considered. Skills & Knowledge: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.Comfortable using mechanical tools, inspection equipment, and computer-based software.Strong communication skills - both verbal and written.Organized, dependable, and self-motivated with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.Understanding of ISO 9001 quality standards is preferred. Working Relationships: You'll regularly collaborate with colleagues in Engineering, Production, Manufacturing, and other departments to support quality compliance and drive continuous improvement. Travel: Minimal travel required. Occasional travel may be needed for training or external audits. Other Details: This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.Must be able to work overtime when required.Regular, reliable attendance is essential.
