Follows all company polices, manufacturing records, calibration standards and SOP.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesDimensional measurement of extruded tubingVisual inspection of extruded tubingPerform calibrationsInitiation of proposed specifications or revision of existing specificationsTubing collectionsIn-process measurementsPackaging and labellingDevelopment and testingCreating Development History RecordsIn-coming inspections of raw resins materialsOther duties as assignedQualificationsQualifications2 year college degree or vocational or technical school graduatePrevious work experience in extrusion or other plastic processing, in addition to work with Quality Control and Quality Assurance DepartmentsPrevious work experience with Medical Device manufacturer or component manufacturer. Previous work experience with ISO 9000 companyOther applicable training, experience or innate abilityAble to use pin gauges, micrometer, wall micrometer, measuring microscopes, caliper gage, tensile tester, laser, metal scale and calculator.Able to interface on a technical level with all levels of personnelAble to maintain accurate technical records.Able to develop written specifications, rather that simply follow established specifications. Legible handwriting.Able to use MS Office, Word, Excel and Outlook along with various office equipment.Physical DemandsAble to perform repetitive tasks for a minimum of 8 hours each work day.Continual lifting up to 30 lbs. Sit, stand and viewing computer screens for extended periods of time.Good vision and have the ability to distinguish colors and able to wear eye protectionWork EnvironmentManufacturing, warehouse and clean room environments.Exposure to noise is present, hearing protection is availableSafety glasses are required on the manufacturing floor.
