Quality Technician 2 - Talascend : Job Details

Talascend is currently seeking a Quality Technician 2 for a contract opportunity with our client in Plano, Texas. Overview The main function of a quality technician is to inspect and test processed, machined, fabricated or assembled parts or products for defect, wear, and deviations from specifications. Responsibilities Discard or reject products, materials, and equipment not meeting specifications. Analyze and interpret blueprints, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications, inspection and testing procedures, adjustment and certification methods, formulas, and measuring instruments required. Inspect, test, or measure materials, products, installations, and work for conformance to specifications. Record inspection or test data, such as weights, temperatures, grades, or moisture content, and quantities inspected or graded. Mark items with details such as grade and acceptance or rejection status. Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to specifications, using measuring instruments such as rulers, calipers, gauges, or micrometers. Analyze test data and make computations as necessary to determine test results. Qualifications Associate's degree or equivalent experience/training required. 2-4 years experience required. Requirements English (Korean is plus) At least two years experience with selection, maintenance and application of electronic and test equipment (spectrum analyzers, X-Ray, CT, Digital microscope) preferred. Prior experience in the mobile industry preferred. Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize in a complex working environment. Comprehensive use of Microsoft Office applications operating in a Windows XP or NT LAN/WAN environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. The ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with multiple levels within the company and with external contacts including customers, authorized service agents, sales & equipment service representatives, etc. Must be able to influence others in acceptance, approval and to provide technical clarification. The ability to gather and analyze data from multiple sources, prepare spreadsheets, charts, graphs and tables of information and to plan and prioritize multiple work assignments.
