Job Description :
Job Purpose The Quality Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring both the quality of products, and of processes in place to efficiently conduct business activities. This includes, but is not limited to, ensuring the maintenance of SOPs, communicating with regulatory agencies and updating safety procedures. Roles and ResponsibilitiesQuality Management Processes
  • Conduct Process Manager Meetings
  • Process Mapping, Maintenance and Improvements
  • Coordinate and support with Process Document Updates
Audits
  • Conduct internal safety and process audits to support existing certifications (ISO, CTPAT)
  • Coordinate, prepare and support with audits conducted by external agencies (e.g. ISO 9001; ISO 14001)
  • Provide input to risk management (ISO related items)
Quality Assurance SAP Key User Quality
  • Open tickets to resolve system related issues and conduct testing for system changes and upgrades
Vendor Management
  • Annual vendor evaluation
  • Conduct vendor Audits, rapid plant assessments and Quality Talks (new and existing vendors)
Inventory Management
  • Monitoring of expiring Goods (Monthly Expiration List)
  • Incoming Goods Inspections
    • Lab Maintenance and Development (Processes, Equipment, Sample Kits)
    • Specifications (Process and Maintenance)
    • Inspections (Maintain Inspection Plans, Process Inspection Lots, First Article Inspections)
  • Manage Relabeling and repacking process
Claims
  • Process Quality, Label and Expiration Claims and document and investigate warehouse claims
  • Escalate claims outside of target runtime (internal and external) and implement corrective actions
Environmental, Health and Safety Compliance
  • Maintain compliance and programs with applicable laws and regulations in collaboration with Regulatory team and external service provider (OSHA, Flammable Storage/TCPA, Hazardous Waste/RCRA, Contingency Plans, Fire Prevention, etc.)
  • Ensure the appropriate industry required training and certification based on regulatory needs for employees
  • Coordinate safety committee, maintain safety protocol, performance records and communicate near misses and opportunities for improvement
  • Conduct weekly facility safety walkthrough
Desired Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Engineering, or related field
  • ASQ Certification or similar
  • SAP experience
  • MS Office 365 experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years of full-time work experience in similar role
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communicative skills

  • Experience with project management, able to see planned ideas right through to implementation stage, creativity, and strategic thinking skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience in coordinating quality initiatives with various departments
