Description:
The Quality Manager will support the overall quality management of the F-16 CFT Program, including developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance policies and procedures in compliance with AS9110, F-16 USAFE Contract including CFT PWS and SOP, and applicable AAR Quality policies and procedures. The primary purpose of this role is to coordinate and standardize quality activities across all F-16 CFT operating locations.
What you will be responsible for:
- Update and maintain BMS documentation for the F-16 CFT program
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits
- Develop and maintain a Maintenance Standardization and Evaluation Plan to clarify QA inspectors intent and standardize the way inspections are performed
- Generate and deliver monthly quality status reports
- Lead a recurring QA touch base with all site QA personnel to discuss significant issues, ideas for the program, questions about the MSR presentation/tracking application, and any other QA related topics
- Support QA inspectors for individual meetings regarding their specific sites issues, training and any other topics
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of facilities, processes, and products to ensure compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Perform over the shoulder inspections on QA inspectors during audits to ensure they are conducting themselves correctly and adhering to the established standard
- Collaborate with site managers and other stakeholders to identify and resolve quality issues
- Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics across all locations and implement corrective actions to address any deficiencies
- Ensure all documentation and records related to quality assurance are accurate and up to date
- Travel as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
What you will need to be successful in this role:
- Must meet one of the following requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of related experience
- An Associate's degree plus 10 years of related experience
- High School Diploma plus 12 years of related experience
- F-16 experience is strongly preferred, but other fighter jet experience may be considered
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance is required
- Strong understanding of aircraft maintenance quality management
- Ability to positively manage relationships with technicians, site leads, and customer personnel
- Excellent communication skills for preparing reports, presentations, and operational briefings
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on risk management and contingency planning
- Demonstrated experience with continuous improvement and lean six sigma
