Job Description :

Our client, a Fabricated Metals Manufacturer, is currently seeking a Quality Manager - Confidential for their North Carolina facility.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

  • Develop, administer, and maintain quality procedures and activities to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and customer requirements, in coordination with the Quality Engineering Manager in MI.
  • Support, develop, train, and continuously improve QMS Software programs, including AIM (Dashboards).
  • Promote and implement quality standards, policies, procedures, test methodologies, and quality plans.
  • Create, modify, and analyze manufacturing processes to identify quality issues, determine root causes, recommend corrective actions, and improve methods.
  • Lead continuous improvement activities to maintain and enhance product quality.
  • Monitor and support Quality Assurance staff, providing management and direction to meet company and customer goals.
  • Hold monthly one-on-one meetings with key quality staff to review performance and set SMART goals.
  • Manage document control processes at the North Carolina facility for all QMS documents and quality records, collaborating with the Corporate Quality/Engineering Manager as needed.
  • Perform internal audits, manage internal auditors to ensure timely completion of daily audits and PASUM audits, cover all processes and shifts, and close out audit actions promptly.
  • Assist in preparing documents and submitting PPAPs to meet customer and AIAG requirements.
  • Ensure quality standards are in place for all processing and production operations affecting product quality, working with teams to develop SOWIs and control plans.
  • Collaborate with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements for external suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain controls and documentation procedures.
  • Work with operations staff to develop procedures, standards, and systems.
  • Ensure Corrective Actions are properly established, detailed, involve the team, and validated, maintaining CAR records and KPIs such as CAPA Coverage, IPPM, and EPPM.
  • Gather and analyze relevant data to monitor, report, and produce statistical reports on key performance indicators, delegating KPIs to quality staff and ensuring timely monthly reporting to management.
  • Qualifications & Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • Five (5) years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Successful completion of a background check and drug test.
