Job DescriptionOversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the plant's quality management system (QMS). Ensure products meet all internal and external specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. Lead and manage the QA/QC team, including chemists, lab technicians, and inspectors. Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality-related issues. Manage internal audits and coordinate third-party audits (e.g., ISO certifications, customer audits). Review and approve certificates of analysis (CoAs), batch records, and test results. Collaborate with production, engineering, EHS, and R&D teams to maintain quality at every stage of the manufacturing process. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using tools such as Six Sigma, Lean, and SPC. Maintain and enforce compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, FDA, REACH).

The Successful ApplicantBachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field (Master's preferred). 5+ years of quality experience in a chemical manufacturing environment; acid manufacturing preferred. In-depth knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001, cGMP, and relevant regulatory guidelines. Experience managing lab operations, analytical testing, and chemical specifications. Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with quality software, ERP systems, and data analysis tools.
