Nesco resource is seeking a QC Lab Technician. Shift: Days-Monday thru Friday Pay: $19.50 per hour What You'll Do:
  • Perform and document precision inspections, providing accept/reject guidance.
  • Calibrate gauges, tools, and measuring/test equipment according to established schedules.
  • Adjust and repair gauges to maintain required levels of accuracy and resolution.
  • Conduct gauge R&R studies and maintain records.
  • Verify part dimensions and compute unspecified dimensions using shop math and trigonometry.
  • Perform manual layouts of parts and assemblies.
  • Program and operate a coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
  • Prepare metallurgical samples and operate metallurgical equipment to support PPAP requirements.
  • Document dimensions and characteristics for PPAP (initial production) paperwork.
  • Review calibration procedures and gauge operation instructions.
  • Maintain records, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
  • Handle metal parts with precision, inspecting for imperfections or defects.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance and additional tasks as assigned.
What We're Looking For:
  • High school diploma, GED, or vocational training (equivalent education/experience considered).
  • 1-2 years of experience using basic manufacturing tools and measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
  • Knowledge of GD&T a major plus.
  • Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Excellent hand/eye coordination and strong attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with OSHA/EPA safety standards and commitment to safe work practices.
  • Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends.
  • Ability and willingness to learn, train, and expand technical knowledge.
