Quality Inspector
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing / upfit team. The job entails ensuring that our products meet all company and industry standards before they reach our customers. A sharp eye for detail will be crucial in upholding our reputation for excellence and preventing defects.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure they meet our company and industry standards quality standards.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, to verify dimensions.
- Document inspection results by completing detailed reports and performance records.
- Identify and isolate non-conforming products (defects) and report issues to the production and management teams.
- Collaborate with the Production and Engineering team to recommend improvements to the production process to enhance quality.
Background Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Proven experience as a quality inspector or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to your work.
- Strong ability to read and understand technical documents and blueprints.
- Proficient in the use of various measuring tools and equipment.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
- Knowledge of ISO9001 is a plus but not required.
- A certification in quality control, such as an American Society for Quality (ASQ) certification, is a plus but not required.
