The Opportunity

This position works out of our Santa Clara, CA location in the Structural Heart Division. Structural Heart Business Mission: Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Perform in-process and final inspections for materials, components, sub-assemblies, final product, packaging, and labeling.

  • Conduct functional testing as required by component drawings, manufacturing instructions, and test instructions.

  • Receive inspection activities including gathering required documentation to release parts/components.

  • Understand the capability of measuring tools and utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, microscopes, and test fixtures.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and inspection requirements of components and parts.

  • Review material specifications to understand component requirements.

  • Document non-conformance reports when parts fail specifications.

  • Read and understand certifications of conformance and analysis.

  • Record inspection and test data as per instructions and procedures.

  • Collaborate with other divisions as needed.

  • Recommend process improvements to ensure quality control.

  • Complete documentation timely and accurately.

  • Foster quality awareness within the production team.

  • Maintain quality documentation according to SOPs, WIs, and GMPs.

  • Resolve quality issues promptly.

  • Perform manufacturing record audits to ensure compliance.

  • Support engineering documentation tasks.

  • Provide quality support for key processes and projects.

  • Adhere to GMP and documentation practices.

  • Understand the Quality System and key processes.

  • Suggest and implement process improvements fostering continuous improvement.

  • Support other functional areas as needed.

  • Stay updated on industry standards.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Excellent MS Office and Excel skills.

  • Good math and technical skills.

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in inspection or related field.

  • Comfortable in a Cleanroom environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across all levels.

  • Knowledge of Quality Systems, FDA regulations, ISO 13485, and worldwide regulations.

  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain regular attendance.

  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Effective collaboration and teamwork skills, with ability to train technicians.

  • Confident and clear communication skills.

  • Ability to work efficiently under tight timelines.

Preferred

  • 5+ years prior medical device experience preferred.

The base pay for this position is $18.85 – $37.65 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
