The Quality Inspector should have experience with cable harness and electronic assemblies and be able to work with the team to ensure an outstanding final product.RESPONSIBILITIESThe following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties. Perform inspections (in-process and final) on cable harness and Printed Circuit board assemblies and subassemblies (mechanical, electrical)Document production and test anomalies in accordance with prescribed procedures and process as requiredCommunicate and help resolve quality related issuesProcess non-conforming productPerform receiving and/or final inspection to assure product compliance with quality assurance standards and applicable specificationsRead and interpret released drawings, engineering change orders, assembly and inspection instructionsWhen directed perform audits of specific areas, processes and proceduresUse standard electrical and mechanical inspection tools such as microscopes, calipers, mechanical gauges and other measuring devicesMaintain records of rejected/accepted material, maintain databases for analysis of nonconformitiesFamiliarity with calibration processes and documentationAssumes all other responsibilities as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS•J-STD-001•IPC/WHMA-A-620•IPC-A-610•Knowledge of ESD requirements and practices•Knowledge of quality assurance principles, methods, and processes•Knowledge of wiring and electrical systems•Knowledge of inspection processes•Knowledge of engineering drawings and wiring schematics•Strong knowledge and experience in aerospace standards AS9100, ISO-9001, and its general practices•Highschool diploma or higher•Ability to lift at least 30 pounds•The ability to inspect a product or system to ensure that it is according to specifications and requirements.•Read and comprehend standard blueprints, machine, and process drawings.•Use equipment to test performance and operation.•Measure voltage, current, resistance or other electrical characteristics by using electrical measuring equipment such as multimeters, voltmeters, and ammeters.•Use various techniques to ensure the product quality is respecting the quality standards and specifications.
