Job Overview As a Quality Inspector, you will ensure the highest quality standards and will play a significant role in all stages of inspection, from incoming to final product release. This is a full-time position working Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until 3:30 pm Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct first article, in-process, and final inspections of parts against prints, engineering drawings, and travelers to ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Utilize and develop expertise in precision measurement equipment like micrometers, calipers, pin gages, and optical comparators.
  • Gain proficiency in operating and programming CMM and blue light inspection equipment using Zeiss Calypso and GOM software.
  • Examine materials for surface imperfections like cracks, pits, and other irregularities.
  • Interpret and assess Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) controls according to customer engineering drawings.
  • Create detailed inspection plans that streamline the entire process, from in-process to final inspections.
  • Document and segregate any materials or parts that do not meet quality standards, following established quality procedures.
  • Analyze inspection data and prepare comprehensive reports using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and specialized inspection software.
Qualifications
  • Associate's degree or technical trade school graduate, with at least three years of relevant experience in a quality inspection or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A strong understanding of technical drawings, GD&T, and inspection methodologies.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various inspection-specific software packages.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and a proven work ethic.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently.
  • Experience with Zeiss Calypso, GOM, Hexagon PC-DMIS, and AS9100 quality standards is preferred.
