Job Summary

The Quality Improvement (QI) Manager is responsible for supporting the Director of Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) with the implementation and monitoring of quality improvement initiatives across the organization. This role ensures that programs and services meet internal quality standards and comply with external regulatory requirements. The QI Manager supports the development of performance metrics, conducts internal audits, and facilitates corrective action planning to promote continuous quality enhancement. Data collection and analysis are used to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. This position works collaboratively with program leadership and staff to build a culture of accountability and excellence across all service areas.

Major Responsibilities/Activities

  • Directly provides support to specific program in the creation and oversight of compliance metrics and quality improvement tasks on a monthly and quarterly basis. Program areas are assigned to the QI Manager by the Director of Continuous Quality Improvement.
  • Liaise with external partners to support dissemination of data, alert and corrective action responses and monthly reporting.
  • Data collection and analysis:
  • Completes data analysis and summary reports across agency programs.
  • Disseminate monthly data collected and received from external partners to program leadership
  • Develop tools to collect and analyze a variety of indicators across Forestdale programs.
  • Develop surveys and forums to evaluate feedback from participants and staff as applicable.
  • Partner with program leadership to identify and evaluate key performance indicators and outcome measures.
  • Partner with IT to support the efficiency and streamlining of data collection and analysis across Forestdale programs.
  • Partner with IT and program leadership to support the buildout of new or the expansion of existing software applications
  • Complete internal audits – monthly and quarterly – across agency programs.
  • Monitor and support programs during and following completion of external audits.
  • Work with the Director of CQI to develop CQI plans for all program areas.
  • Facilitate quarterly Performance Management Meetings
  • Manage Critical Incidents Reporting and Corrective Planning:
  • Conducts conferences with pre-determined committee of stakeholders following critical incidents to plan for corrective action
  • Tracks agency compliance with corrective action plan.
  • Manage Grievance Reporting and Corrective Planning:
  • Receives reports and claims of grievance from clients or other entities; works with General Counsel to manage resolution.
  • Participate in COFCCA and other government and private funder led meetings.
  • Other responsibilities, as assigned by direct supervisor.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree .
  • 3+ years of relevant professional experience (post bachelor's degree).
  • Ability to demonstrate an agile, adaptable disposition; and maintain collegial relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledgeable of NYC child welfare
  • Experience using New State and New York City child welfare systems including but not limited to, Connections, Data Warehouse, Legal Tracking System, Safe Measures.
  • Advanced Excel skills in Microsoft Excel, highly desirable as well as experience in data visualization.
  • Experience working with IT and programs to implement new or expand software applications
  • Willing to travel as needed to all Forestdale sites

Salary: $80,000- $100,000
