Kodak Alaris Colorado is the home of Kodak Moments Thermal Media Manufacturing and the Windsor Regional Distribution Center. The operations are responsible for the manufacturing and distribution of thermal media for photographic applications.

Kodak Alaris is seeking a self-motivated Quality Engineer to join our Kodak Moments Thermal Media Manufacturing Operation in Windsor, Colorado. This operation is an integral part of the Kodak Moments worldwide photo printing business. The primary aim of this role is to provide product engineering support for ongoing manufacturing and the development of Thermal Media products through continual improvement of product quality and the systems that surround them. The successful candidate must be a problem-solver at their core, possess strong technical and quality skills, have a customer-focused mindset, and demonstrate personal drive and stamina for relentless, continual improvement both personally and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day manufacturing support for thermal media products, including product quality, troubleshooting, change management, and testing.
  • Conduct root cause investigations and follow up on product nonconformance issues and customer complaints.
  • Manage supplier quality, leading improvements using Lean methodologies, Statistical Process Control, supplier scorecards, and ensuring supplier compliance.
  • Support product testing, including qualification, calibration, gauge R&R, and procedural development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams on new product development and commercialization initiatives.
  • Lead or take part in projects to improve quality and streamline workflow.

Required Skills

  • Experience in chemical and/or material manufacturing.
  • Specific training and proven success in applying quality problem-solving methods such as fishbone diagrams, FMEA, process capability analysis, hypothesis testing, DoE, SPC, etc.
  • Strong understanding and proficiency in statistical skills.
  • Proficiency with Windows environment and standard Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to present complex data in a concise and effective manner.
  • Ability to work across various job functions and extended teams to ensure project success.
  • Quick learner and highly self-motivated.
  • Data-driven and results-oriented.

Desired Skills

  • Coating and/or printing experience
  • Six-Sigma (Green and/or Black black) and Lean Manufacturing training

Education and Experience

  • BS or MS in Chemical Engineering, Material Engineering
  • 3-5 years relevant working experience required, 5+ years relevant working experience desired.

Compensation : $95,000 to $120,000 annually, based on experience
