Position Description :

  • Responsible for managing and implementing the company Quality Plan across the FT Rucker Aviation Maintenance Services contract in accordance with the PWS and ISO 9001 / AS9110 QMS.
  • Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time, and streamline workflow processes.
  • Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.
  • Ensures 100% safe, on-time, properly configured, reliable aircraft to perform missions as per the PWS.
  • Provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing aircraft maintenance.
  • Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies related to aircraft maintenance operations.
  • Ensures sufficient manpower, technical data, tools, and equipment are available for planned work and shift coverage.
  • Monitors attendance, approves timecards, and assigns overtime.
  • Applies company policies and procedures regarding employee promotion, training, discipline, and termination.

Ensures employees possess the necessary qualifications and certifications to perform their roles.

  • Extensive knowledge of US Army, USAF, and USN aircraft maintenance, logistics, planning, quality control, and supervisory policies, principles, procedures, and techniques.
  • ISO 9001 / AS9100 / 9110 Lead Auditor certification is preferred; knowledge of quality management systems, safety standards, and environmental issues.
  • Working knowledge of analytical methodologies, statistical process control, and continuous process improvement.
  • Familiarity with aviation support services, logistics, IT, training, supply chain management, acquisition, and facilities and equipment maintenance for rotorcraft aircraft.
  • Ability to develop and present senior staff-level briefings and management reports.
  • Demonstrated experience with process improvement approaches and change management.
  • Bachelor's Degree in quality, aeronautical, business management, or engineering; Master's degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in related fields, preferably in military planning and operations.
  • Able to obtain and maintain security clearance as required by PWS.
  • Comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance and quality control procedures in an Army aviation environment.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Ability to move about aircraft hangars and ramps near operating equipment and aircraft.

Must be reliable, self-motivated, and capable of handling stressful situations and tight deadlines while maintaining professionalism and a non-confrontational attitude.
